The Bellevue, Wash. agency said its cybersecurity crew discovered an “unauthorized entry” on Aug. 20 and reported it to laws enforcement. T-Mobile has begun sending notifications out to shoppers affected by the breach “out of an abundance of warning.”

T-Mobile said the breach did not impact any financial data, social security numbers or passwords. Nonetheless, some shoppers’ non-public information — along with title, billing zip code, cellphone amount, e mail cope with, account amount and account variety — may have been uncovered.
